Fall is Leafing us.

Get it? Like leaving us...but leafing us. I'm funny sometimes.

On Tuesday me, Shani, and Pari had a little fall photo shoot! It started to get cold, real cold. So before everything was covered in ice and snow, we had to have a little photo taking session.
It turned out pretty dang good, I'm pleased.
Favorite.
Should have seen Pari taking these...she was into it.
Laying on the ground, crazy angles...lets just say a lot of passer-by's gave us weird looks.
Love the one on the left...she really does love me, I promise.
A bit silly, but I love it. My sister>yours.
Look what I managed to do! Who would've though my short thin little hair could form a bow. Took a lot of fixing, but after much effort, it paid off.
After some fun in the leaves, me and my Brie Brie made a whole bunch of pumpkin stuff.
I was really in the fall spirit that day.

While waiting at a crosswalk on Wednesday, a girl said, "That's such a cute coat! I was thinking that to myself, and knew it would be a wasted thought if I didn't tell you. Have a good day!"
And off she walked.
I have no idea why, but this has stuck in my brain for forever, which is unusual. I love that she said "a wasted thought." I don't want to have any wasted thoughts! So my goal is to just tell people if I like something they're wearing or whatever. Basically, I'll be spewing compliments all the time, but hey, that's not a bad thing.
Now hopefully you'll be inspired. No more wasted thoughts, make someone's day like she did to me!

later wednesday, we went to the first basketball game!! Front row seats, it was awesome.
This looks like he gets blocked, but really, it was the coolest dunk ever!! And I just so happen to have mad picture taking reflexes.
We all got a whole free pizza from papa johns too!!
Now as great as that was, it was nothing compared to our friend.
He got to play during half time in a game, and he not only beat everyone, but also won himself a $1,300 bike, a $200 gift card, AND then the free pizza too. Seriously?? Major jealousy.
Here he is winning, lucky bum. He's in the blue hat.

Look what happened....
SNOW.
So depressing. What makes it way worse is realizing that by the time it stops snowing, I'll just barely be getting out of school. I've got a looooong ways to go with this weather and walking to classes as fast as my legs can take me.

On Thursday, I got to go meet Mia, the little girl I'm a mentor for!
She is SUCH a cutie!
What a doll, I just love her already. She's a little ball of energy, but so sweet. I already know all this just from 30 minutes with her! I'm so looking forward to the rest of the time we get to spend together this year. Next week we're carving pumpkins (: Don't have a picture yet, but I'll get one up soon!

Doodling>taking notes. I particularly like this one!
Me and Shani get packages every day basically.
This was today's spoils! A Charlie Brown Christmas tree (: We all chipped in a little to buy it. Cutest thing ever right?? We are keeping it up starting now no matter what people say.

Now back to the present holiday, Halloween! I pulled together this Snow White costume, and can't believe how well it turned out!! I was made for this role. (;
Loved the red lips.
Here are the ever-lovely ladies of 228, all dressed up for the Halloween Dance!
Jean is freakishly good at zombie make up.
Me and my gal Pocahontas.
 Some other friends!
After the dance (which was SOO fun!!!), we went to Kaylee's for a Halloween Party! She put so much work into it, and it was amazing. Look at these cute little cupcakes!
Me, Shani, and Makinsi.
Kaylee was a pro bar-tender! (; Sugar rimmed drinks of various mixes and flavors. Yum.
And a pinata. It was an amazing night!
Friday was definitely successful, can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend brings!

Gone to the Dark Side

Sarah's embarrassment for the post...
Ok ok, she's not really eating mayonnaise. Looks like it though right?!
Tricked ya.
Its pudding.
We had ward skit night this past week, and each of our family home evening groups had to perform a skit involving certain props. Ours were a scarf, toothbrush, plunger, shampoo, and mayonnaise. It turned out really funny actually, here it is!
You can't really tell what the girls are sayin/doing from this video, but oh well! The boys are the funniest part.
Like I've said probably 50 times before, they never stop surprising us! They busted out this skit and did an amazing job. It was so much fun! Love ma boys.
Jean's got a pretty sweet hobbit costume going, pointy ears and all.
She's set for halloween!

On thursday, we had our first cleaning check! And guess what?
We didn't pass.
After three hours of cleaning, turns out the grate at the bottom of the dishwasher was a little dirty, dang it.
But no worries, got that cleaned up and then,
We did pass!

This weekend, I went home on a whim!
Saturday morning, I decided that I wanted to go, so I hopped on a bus. 3 transfers, 2 hours, and $4.70 later, I was home.
I got some good family time, visited with a few friends I hadn't seen in a while, and visited the Iceberg crew! It was a much needed escape from campus.
I also had a lot of hair-dying experiences!
My roots were grown out pretty bad, so first I bought a box and touched those up. Then, I decided to dye my bangs a darker color as well.
Eventually, through peer pressure and many boxes of hair dye,
my hair wound up like this:
I didn't have a picture yet, so I took this one right now, just for you guys! Sitting here in my room, reppin my 'every day is game day' BYU t-shirt.
Class got canceled today! How great is that? Super great. Now I get to write this post, live in my pajamas, and take pictures of myself (;

Unfortunately though, this was NOT the hair color I intended. I wanted a much lighter brown, but this is pretty much black. Fingers crossed it will fade! Until then, I'm putting up with this color, and my mom insisting that it's the best thing ever. (But I mean really, she has to say that--she's my mom.)

Aaaaand I'm struggling to remember anything else that happened this past week. Obviously nothing too important! Luckily school has settled down a bit (knock on wood), life is good, and that's that.

Big news!

Oh Sarah. Maybe I'll just make it a habit of embarrassing her at the start of each blog post? It's doable...
So basically she's a knitting machine. She will literally talk for ten minutes straight about different knitting patterns she found for free, and how fun knitting is, and yada yada.
I love her.

I love my new panoramic picture app (: Here's me and Jean's room! My bed spread has still yet to come in the mail. ):
As part of homecoming week, they had a blue foam thingy which ended up dying people's skin blue and making half of the people on campus look like smurfs. We were so pumped to go! Buuut visitors weren't allowed, and Shani's shorts were too short. Sad day.
We just watched from the outside. Debated hopping the fence for a bit...but didn't.
Our friend Ryan gave us him room key cause he didn't want to lose it in the foam. So naturally we broke into his room and stole his cat.
It seriously is his most prized possession though! They're supposed to bring good luck. When I went to Argentina, they were EVERYWHERE but never for sale! I've wanted one ever since, and it's been a whole year. So this was the perfect thing to steal. We sent him this picture from an anonymous number and freaked him out. Such good cat-nappers.

At midnight on Wednesday  I got asked to Homecoming! Which was on Friday...a bit of a short notice. It was one of my darling FHE boys, Kyle! So on Thursday me, Shani, Cole, and Sarah planned to go to the mall to find me a dress! But then right before, he told me all the tickets were sold out ): Didn't stop us from going shopping though, that's for sure. (:
THEN
at midnight on Thursday  he asked me to go to the other homecoming dance, which was formal! (there's three dances). HOLY SMOKES! Finding a prom dress in one day? Ya...couldn't make it work. So we didn't go. Maybe next year! I'll just keep a dress on hand in case any one asks me 2 days before.

Story time!
Last week, I applied to intern at Disney world this summer from April to August. I turned in my application, then had an online interview, then had another online interview, then had a phone interview! It was intense. I had to wait a week to find out if I got it or not, and FINALLY on Thursday morning I got this lovely little email:
YAYYY!!! Oh boy, I was on cloud nine. You have no idea. I still can't believe I made it!!! The job position I was offered is 'quick service food & drink.' So I could be working at the restaurants, at a pretzel cart, or who knows what! I'll work 35-55 hours a week, we'll see how that goes haha. I knew I would get a food job though...was hoping I wouldn't, but all my experience is there!
It's totally okay though, I figure I'd be working at a food place here, so might as well work at one in
DISNEY WORLD. (:
Eeeep! So excited. April 29th is the start of this journey. Hurry up and get here already!

Take a gander out how absolutely b-e-a-utiful it's been here!
Seriously though. I'm obsessed.
I keep staring at the scenery though and almost run into people walking. It's so pretty, it's a safety hazard!!

Look who came from California to visit! On Friday he took me and Shani for some legendary shakes at Sammy's.
They put a whole slice of pie right in the shake, and mix it up! Just amazing.
Random things keep happening while we're home, including this ape man who was stroking Shani's face and freaking her out!
After Ryan stole the cat back, we stole it...again. So currently, we're winning and it's in our possession!
We're funny. Chantelle is always home super late, so we played a little joke. (Notice the beautiful Halloween decor on or door? That's just the start to our amazing festive decorations.)
Another football game! It was so much fun, despite the loss.
The guy over my left shoulder looks like he could murder someone. Gets me every time.
And in this picture, Corb doesn't have eyes. haha it was fun being reunited with him again!

That's the end to this weeks adventures. Currently I've been spending hours on Disney's College website-- watching videos, reading, and doing all the preparing I can for this awesome opportunity! Can't wait (:
