A Week in Pictures

So I got a workout class membership thingy this week!
It's on campus at the RB, and they have 18 classes each week that you can go to, as many as you want, at their scheduled times! They are really really intense. And I love it. Even though they are kicking my butt, it's a good kind of kicking.
Pretty intense right? Some of the bigger classes are in here, and other classes are in smaller rooms.
It doesn't help when I go into work every morning and there are racks and racks of cookies, doughnuts, cheesecakes, muffins, and more. All FREE. It's really really tempting when you're a starving student...but I try to keep it to a one-bite minimum (:
I love mission call openings! So fun. My friend Ryan got called to Puebla Mexico. His mission presidents are his friend's parents!! Crazy huh?
Walking around so much isn't half bad if you're looking at a beauty like this.
Another girl's night, but let's face it. Every night is a girl's night. No complaints here (:
We tried our hardest to study...it lasted for a little while.
Then we had pizza and did nails and other fun stuff.
Brie is so talented! See that cheetah print thumb? Ya. Point and case.

 I really love these girls.
My favorite picture!!!
Saturday morning started bright and early with a temple trip! Took a good 3 hours to get through baptisms. There are a lot of temple-goers in Provo...
Let me just go on a little tangent.
I LOVE our family home evening boys!!! Honestly, they are the greatest. They are such gentlemen and so sweet to us. They put together this whole temple trip, then invited us over for breakfast. Genevieve has a billion allergies, and they cooked everything special so that she could have it! And we're talking gourmet food.
Little breakfast tarts, the most amazing pancakes with a homemade strawberry puree on top, and lotsa bacon. HOLY YUM. Where did these boys come from?! They are too good to us. I'm a proud mama. (:
Not only did they cook this all, but they refused to let us help in any way. They just waited on us hand and foot. I could get used to that.

Saturday also marked my one-month anniversary of being at college! Still have yet to visit home, which is a big surprise. I manage okay by just calling my mom every single day, and depending on the day, it can be up to five times. I think we talk more now then when I lived at home, she's become even more of my best friend! Love her.

Today we went to our friend's apartment to make dinner all together. It was delicious. BUT the big surprise was walking into their kitchen and finding this:
(Well, minus the people)
So they have three levels of couches, all stacked at different heights on top of various size tables. Its movie theater seating, right in their kitchen!! They stole the extra couches from the lobby... who woulda thought guys could be so creative. They also have a projector, and they hung up a white sheet on the wall. Coolest dorm ever award goes to them!! So after dinner we watched Second Hand Lions, in their homemade dorm theater. What a treat.

In other news, dying my hair hasn't helped my blond moments.
This past week I went in to the wrong class twice, missed half of a class cause I forgot about it (while I was sitting in the very building), walked into a tree while texting, and many more things. It's kinda sad, but you just gotta laugh at yourself. It's that or cry...so I opt for laughing. (:

Also today I've been writing my 7 page paper that's due on Tuesday...I'm the worst procrastinator.
In the next two weeks I have 4 papers due and 3 tests...AHH! I'm in no way prepared, I'll probably be an antisocial loner holed up in my room doing homework for a while.
College is kinda hard...

Buuut overall, I like it.
(:

Hair dye, temples, and a birthday party.

I DYED MY HAIR.
Well, my sister Pari dyed my hair. Last moments as a blond..
 Then Pari did her thing.
 And ta-dah!! Ombre hair. (:
Still getting used to it, but I love it!

We had a girl's night on friday filled with trampolines, foam pits, and chick flicks.
They're talented.

On saturday, our whole stake got to go to the Brigham City temple open house!
It was absolutely beautiful! See all those people outside? That was the hour line to get in...we were burning up. Worth it? Yes.

BYU vs. Utah game day!! Bummer we lost, but still supporting my school (we're better anyways. (; )
One of my favorite facebook posts about the game was:
YOLO: You Only Lose Once. Unless you're BYU, then you lose 3 times.
haha so sad, so true, and so funny.
Sunday was Sarah's (one of my absolutely amazing roomies) Birthday!! We threw a little crepe birthday party for her, it was a big success! I was in charge of whipping out the crepes, as you can see above..
People were very much please with our gourmet (kind of..) food.
I think I missed the blue memo?
There she is! Love you Sarah!!!
After that, me and some friends walked over to the temple for some fresh air and scripture study. All the missionaries were there, it was great!

So I promised you a more exciting post, so here's the excitement.
CRIME HAS STRUCK.
Right under our noses.
While we were blissfully celebrating Sarah's birthday with our amazing party, some criminals scavenged through our rooms and stole all our money.
What the heck?! Honor code people!!! haha.
But really, we all feel so violated and just want to cry. Except for Chantelle...her reaction was:
"I wish we knew who it was so we could go roommate gang beat them!!!"
Bottom line is, we let them into our home, thought they were our friends, filled their bellies, and that's how they thanked us. Genevieve suffered the biggest loss, $125! So we called the police and filed a report, not that there's much they can do.
Let's just say from now on, our door is staying locked at all times, so don't get any ideas.

Boring Shmoring.

So good news, I got better with my picture taking. Bad news, I feel like everything I'm doing isn't blog-worthy...which is probably true. But it's going on here anyways because well...why not.

I'm giving myself a challenge. Every caption has to be 5 words or less. Here we go...

Love these ladies--reunion time!
In most amazing boutique ever
One word: cute.
Bee sting ): my treatment=successful!
saving money drying. colorful pants.
family home evening geo-caching!
Beautiful campus. Love it here.
Who doesn't wanna ride deer?
First blind date ever...yeah.

Sister time at soccer game.
Rain does good after all.
Creepy stares. Inside jokes. BFF's.
Brick oven first timer. mmm
Yes we went at 9:45pm.
So much homework. Might die.

WOW. That was quite the challenge, I like to talk and elaborate on my pictures...but maybe a little mystery does a person good. You'll never know how I got in trouble for taking pictures in that boutique, or how my sister lives here and I LOVE IT. If I could explain some more, I might talk about how geo-caching felt like treasure hunting and now I know all the little hidden treasures here on campus. Or perhaps I could explain my first blind date, how we made boats, put candles in them, and floated them down a river (so random but fun! He earned some major creativity points.) You might also never know that I spend more time graphically designing my notes than I probably spend on the actual assignments...it's a problem. But you won't know that, so I'm sorry you're missing out.

Bottom line is--life's normal. I'll try to spice it up a bit. Better blog posts to come!
