Getting better

My calligraphy skills have improved.
I love it, so so much.
Show and tell time.
My favorite.
I've started writing on pictures, which is my favorite!
Only down side is taking a picture of a picture totally messes up the colors. They look so much better in person! This is the only one that looks remotely similar to what it is in person. The rest will have to remain a secret!

Besides drawing, I had an amazing Thanksgiving break! I like to believe it was the calm before the storm. Only two and a half weeks left til finals, say whaaa?! I'm scared.
So I enjoyed my freedom. Of course ate lots of food, and definitely didn't even take a look at my growing amount of homework. (I might regret that a little bit...)
We went to my Aunt Marcy and Uncle Todd's house for dinner!
Some good cousin time. We found out the Boice's are moving to Chicago soon. Sooo sad. ):
Corbie.
After dinner, we went and watched Eclipse with his friends. Corb has gotten addicted to the Twilight series, I never thought the day would come.

Friday was filled with shopping. It was the best. Probably not for my wallet, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, since I only get to go to the mall every once in a blue moon now.
That night I went on a triple date with some friends! We saw 'Red Dawn' which was seriously AMAZING. I highly highly recommend it. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time!

Saturday was my Mom's birthday. She is the greatest. Love you mom! Happy 20th (;
Me and Libs went to visit Iceberg and say hi to my old boss. Iceberg was the best thing ever, I miss it basically every day I'm standing in my new refrigerated work place, trying to revive my frozen numb fingers.
He makes the best pancakes.
Cake and birthday celebrations!

After, me, megan, and lex went to jared's house to watch the newest Spiderman with him and Tyler! It was a good movie, and fun to catch up and be with some good friends.
Sunday was my wardie Ryan Jensen's farewell! We grew up together, and it's still weird to me to have my childhood friends leaving on missions! He gave an awesome talk. I LOVED going back to my old Draper 17th ward! They are my favorite people in the whole world. Loved every second!
Family Home Evening.
They're such dorks. Love them with my whole heart.
Chantelle...haha
That night for our activity, we made our own bowling with milk jugs as pins and tangerines as bowling balls!
Not the smartest, seeing that the tangerines would not even knock them over. Also, they exploded and got citrusy guts everywhere.
Then the main fail of the night--Chantelle jumped on a milk carton, which popped open and released the most awful smell of ransid milk you could possibly imagine! It filled the whole building immediately, so we all booked it outside gagging.
Kyle tried in vain to mask the smell with about a gallon of cologne, which may have worked, but it was so overwhelming that you could literally taste it in the air.
Eventful night to say the least! I swear our family home evenings ALWAYS end in chaos somehow. I lose control of the family, I think I'm slacking with my "mom" calling...

Not much else has been going on. Loving college, love my friends and roommates, love my family--I'm so blessed. Thanks for reading.

Conjunctivitis.

Doesn't that sound like a nasal sickness?
Like you're really congested?
Well unfortunately, its pink eye.
And even more unfortunately, it got me. Or more like I got it, whatever suites your fancy.
See my sad little right eye? All pink.
Side note: going to the hospital without your mom for the first time is a little intimidating.
No worries though, got some eye drops, and the pink is back to a pearly white now!

Other than my sick-o eye, its been a good week and a half!
Disclaimer: this is going to be a long post. You've been warned.
BUT I promise it's worth the read. Okay, carry on.
Our FHE boys have enjoyed putting all the couches in front of our door and locking us in. Tricksters.
Last monday, our ward had a combined FHE which resulted with us doing a lot of acrobatics and playing ultimate spoons.
This is the funniest thing!! If Rachel wasn't there, Shani and Taylor would've been in some serious trouble.
Still can't believe they were able to do this. It took a while for Shani to warm up to it--she would get scared half way through and basically drop on the floor. Eventually, they pulled it off!

Wednesday was the best day ever. EVER.
For no reason at all! Life is just great, and I felt especially lucky and happy on that particular day.
Whipped out a 6 page paper that was due the next day. College is really testing my procrastination abilities. So far though, so good.
Also spent some time at the Student Health Clinic for the aforementioned pink eye, but that didn't put a damper on my good day!

Thursday I went home. Two weekends in a row, that's a record. This time, it was to go to the Breaking Dawn part 2 movie premier with my sister! I stole my mom's ticket. Thanks mama (:
Friday, I went Ice skating with my friends Katie and Andrew! Turns out we got on the news?
Sneaky Fox 13 caught us ice skating on camera without us even knowing! I'm just hoping it wasn't while I was falling down, a little bit un-gracefully.
Saturday morning, I missed my bus, so me and my mama went on a goose chase and followed it to the next stop!
While waiting for my transfer bus, a cute asian lady came up and gave me a chocolate. So random, but made my travels a bit better.
Me, Tanner, and Mia went bowling for a group activity with all the other kids! It really was so fun.

I discovered I'm a lefty bowler? Got four spares in a row bowling left handed! I surprise myself.

Me and Megan had an eventful night Saturday! It was kind of ridiculous, in that every single thing kept going wrong. Literally. Over, and over, and over again. To tell you all that went wrong that night would be a whole post in and of itself.
BUT
We both decided that there's no one else we would rather go through that awful night with. We just tried to laugh it off. One of the main problems was that Megan locked her keys in her room. First we tried picking the lock...
Then naturally, we gave up when that didn't work and tried to hit the handle off with a frying pan.
It sounded like a good idea at the time, don't judge us!

Overall, it was a terrible, awful, no good, very bad day. Take my word for it. So we drowned our sorrows in the largest size of shakes arctic circle had, and watched a chick flick. Doesn't matter that it was a bad night though, still just love being with my bestie!
Look where my family went without me! Maui, Hawaii. I'm just bitter cause I'm jealous. Can't wait to see them for Christmas!
Sunday morning, Shani made us Apple pancakes (:
After church, me, Shani, Sarah, Andee, and Brie baked. Like, A LOT.
We only burnt one thing, the Rolo cake bars.
And made chicken and veggies for dinner, so we weren't completely unhealthy.
This Monday night's FHE was an indexing party! I'm beginning to doubt that Sam and Zack can take a serious picture.

Last night was probably the best thing in the history of ever.
We put all our mattresses in the kitchen, and had a giant sleepover movie night!
Shani already went home for the break, we missed her a bunch.
Needless to say, this will definitely be happening again.
We really had fun with it.
Watch Sarah get hit in the face by Chantelle. The best.
This progression of photos cracks me up.
Genevieve got us SO much junk food.
I don't think I'll ever be able to eat again.
Genevieve really hates these pictures. I think they're hilarious.
Here's a shaky video clip of a bit of our night. I'm just hoping my laugh doesn't sound that obnoxious in person.

Aaaaaaand that's a wrap! Seriously, I'm sorry for the ginormous post.
Have a happy Thanksgiving!!!
