My fabulous first district has flown the coop. These Elders are tearing it up in St George and Texas! It's an absolute blast hearing from them every Monday (: I get giddy each week.
They gave me brownies, which melted my heart. I don't think you understand how much I love these Elders.
My cute Grandma's birthday!
My floral dress clashes just a tad with the couch...
Discovered my favorite waffle place, Bruge's, now has a location in Provo! Hallelujah. I got all my friends hooked on it now. (:
Went with Lauren to our first ever Divine Comedy performance! Where has this been all my life? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Bonus: my old roommate, Sarah, is on the cast! She did a stellar job.
Had a date night with my Corbie (: Ate dinner at a hidden gem restaurant in SLC and explored the city streets.
Went on a group date with my formerly-Elder friends, Jayson and Trent! It was a blind date, I went with Jayson's friend Zack. We had a blast. The night included giant famous Lime-Ricky drinks (which I managed to tip over and spill eeeevverrryyywhere haha), Nickelcade, Dance Dance Revolution, and lots of Tootie-Fruities as our prize.
It's been amazingly beautiful and warm out. I'm a fan.
Sunday, we put our couches outside and hung out. Passerby's joined us and it was quite enjoyable.
MY BIRTHDAY! First picture at midnight as a 21 year old.
Woke up to my roommates sweet notes and decorations.
My dad also sent me chocolate covered strawberries in the mail! mm.
They spoiled me with dinner at Guru's!
Followed by a trip to Sodalicious for my favorite sugar cookie instead of birthday cake (: They know how to make me happy.
Lauren had little gifts and notes for me throughout the day! What did I do to deserve these amazing friends in my life?
And in case I didn't have enough sugar in me that day, I also went on a date to get ice-cream haha. It was fun.
Ahh look who was in town from San Fernando and paid me a visit! Bishop and Sister Patton, my favorites (: From Northridge YSA Ward, my last area. Such a treat seeing them.
I have a weekly scripture study with a group of friends. These guys have deer on their wall and dress them... haha it kills me. Each week, there seems to be a new accessory.
Came out of the temple and got my breath taken away. Such a gorgeous view.
I love this place. It's an oasis.
Cool story: I did family history for an old lady I taught on my mission, Bette. She isn't open to baptism at this time, but agreed to let us take her family names through the temple! I spent hours each P-day on my mission preparing over a hundred names. FINALLY I was able to start performing the ordinances! I went through the whoooole sha-bang, from baptism through endowment--a whopping 5 hours at the temple (very well spent, of course). I went through first for Bette's mom, Evelyn. I can't begin to express the special Spirit I felt! What a blessing. I love this lady already and can't wait to meet her.
Went to an origami exhibit at the Museum of Arts with Jaelyn and Mike! My mind was blown.
NEW DISTRICT!!!
4 Elders. 4 Sisters.
They are the very best of the best, and I love them dearly. My heart can't handle all this love.
It's been a blast teaching again, I am overjoyed to feel like I am starting to grasp some teaching skills. Slowly but surely...it's coming. God has been tutoring me big time.
No place I'd rather be on Valentine's day (: My love for them just increased today when I realized they were all festive and wore red and pink, yay!!
They are headed to Boston and Baltimore. So stoked for them. They came pre-trained, I swear.
My life is hands down amazing.
God is at the head, and I plan on keeping it that way.
...even if it means I have to get to give 5 talks in church within a month and a half period. (:
That's all, folks. Time for a girls night with my favorite roomies.
Happy Valentine's day!
