Party On

It's been an eventful week or so.

One filled with...well...parties, of one sort or another.

I was sick for a hot 5 seconds, and Lauren took care of me with her plentiful supply of drugs (;
We threw a bridal shower for Jaelyn!! The pom-poms have now become a permanent part of our decor (:
We had a crepe party! Always a hit. This time, we had the genius idea of adding crushed oreos to the topping options. SO GOOD. Took crepes to the next level.
We played some fun (innocent...) games. Here's the beaming bride to be (:
So much fun!!! I can't wait to be at her wedding.

Coolest apple I ever did see. Too pretty to eat...and also a little worrisome haha
Had a play date with Libs. I showed her all the cool stuff at BYU, including the very random Kung Fu Panda statue.

Unfortunate dog...this just cracks me up.

My bestie mission friend, Katie Betenson, turned 21!! She hosted the most lovely tea party dinner I ever did see.

My work friend Michael taught me how to make curry. I can die happy now. I've been rationing out the leftovers, trying to make them last as long as possible! SO GOOD. Good food, good company.
Everything is absolutely gorgeous around here! The MTC is just bursting with blossoms.
Third-wheeled with my parents to the Men's Volleyball game!
Relief Society Ice-cream Sundae Sunday party (:

 I'M MOVING IN THE FALL!!
I freaked out my mom and told her I was moving to Oregon, haha. Nope. I'm moving to this lovely place, with the lovely person pictured above! Me and Lauren are going to Casa Dea, just one block away from my current residence. I'm excited! There are only FOUR people per apartment, as compared to the six I'm used to. It'll be a nice change (:
Libs and I discovered this lovely walking path that I use basically every day now. I'm telling ya, I can't help just being in awe at the beauty of God's creations lately! He is good.
I ventured out and made my own fresh strawberry fruit roll-ups (: Just strawberries blended up with a touch of no-calorie sweetener. I'm obsessed!

So those are the happenings as of late.
This morning, a stranger saw me walking to the bus and pulled over. She then drove me to the MTC! Such a sweet act of kindness.

This is a good life.

Monumentous

Things have been so fun lately.

Let's let some pictures do the talking.

At FHE, I totally won at bowling. It was one of those random lucky days, where I even got a strike bowling left-handed!

Some of us teachers from the MTC and others went up to Nunn's Park in Provo Canyon for a good old camp fire. It was SO fun.
We made orange rolls--just wrapped them around the stick. Genius? I think yes. Mmm

Late night games and fridge poetry with Michael--too much fun.

Sushi get-together! All of us grew up in the same ward, and used to get sushi together once a month. Had to carry on the tradition, after life has taken us on a bunch of different adventures.

Boooooozer.

Took a day trip with the fam up to the Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville, Utah. (: It was a blast.
I was telling someone about this day and called it monumentous...then I realized that's not a word. Momentous+monumental=monumentous.
It's a word now.
I skipped my first class, went swimming for the first time, and got to debut my new swimmer (:

Some other exciting news...
 HAHA.
Joke.
I do love this ring, a lot. And this cake.
BUT, it's not my wedding that's coming up.
It's my roommate, Jaelyn's! I'm so excited for her. Me and Lauren surprised her and bought plane tickets to go out to D.C. for her wedding (: I can't wait! It's the last weekend in April. So happy for her. We will be at her endowment and sealing. Precious!

MTC happenings as of late:

Speaking of mission stuff, I also have planned a road trip with my mom to go visit San Fernando!! I can hardly contain my excitement. We'll be going in the end of May (: woohoo!

As of now, I can't think of anything else to report on. Literally, I don't remember things unless I have pictures documenting it. So...I need to take more pictures.

Life is good.
The end.

Valentine's day and Mission Reunions

My Valentine's evening consisted of chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, chick-flicks, and roommate bonding.
Followed by a trip home, and drinking Martinelli's with my family (:

That Sunday, I had the opportunity to speak in 2 Sacrament meetings in my home Stake.
In the second Ward, I met this guy:
He just got called to serve in San Fernando! How cool, right? We had a good talk (:

And if that's not cool enough, the family of one of my best friends from the mission was there as well! So fun to talk with everyone.

My birthday dinner! Messy tacos, mmm
Sunday evening, we went to visit Andrew, one of Corb's BFF's and basically my second older brother.

While I was on my mission, Andrew got in a pretty bad motorcycle accident.
He has been fighting hard for months to heal and return to his normal self.
The journey has been long and will continue to be!
Ohhh my heart was so happy seeing him again. He is the sweetest thing.
He was cracking us up!!! He's in a phase right now where he just loves pulling faces and making people laugh.

Purple potatoes from Winder Dairy. They remind me of Siddhi, who always fed us the coolest foods (: Including purple potatoes, straight from mother nature that way.
Jayci made the trek down to Provo for a sister date!
We got chicken and waffles (: I'm seriously addicted.
Isn't Jayci completely gorgeous? Kills me.
My sweet roommate Lauren brings me my favorite snack as I do homework (: Apples with cinnamon and peanut butter.
 Stake Ice-Skating!!
So much fun. I ran into some old friends too--one person from my Northridge YSA ward over the summer! Fun surprise.
 MISSION REUNION!!

 All of us:
Went to watch a movie at Chad's house after. Of course, I fell asleep for all of it...whoops. I am my father's daughter.
Poor Kaden tore his Meniscus!
Look at that face, it kills me.
My dad came in town! And brought Corb with him.
We may have gotten chicken and waffles...
I'm not even sorry about it. (:
Of course, they took their shirts off and got a picture in my roommates bed. Hahah so I texted it to her (:
I accidentally left my backpack in his rental car, so he drove back the next morning and met me at work. The little sneak, he got into the MTC! So we got a picture with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Carolyn (:
A little retail therapy...(: I didn't have work one morning, so I went to the mall. I kinda jumped the gun though and got there 40 minutes before it opened haha.
One of my recent art projects:
My sweet district!! They are in Anaheim and Riverside (: Love them.
